Life after Beth
November 9, 2013

Yesterday a pic of Life after Beth leaked, and I am not gonna put it here. But you can view it at ScreenSlam where the picture can be seen. It seems Shock Till You Drop posted it but has since removed it.

About the movie:
Aubrey Plaza dies and comes back to life in the upcoming zombie comedy Life After Beth. The film stars Dane DeHaan as Zach, a regular guy who becomes heavily distressed when he finds out his girlfriend Beth (Plaza) had died. Luckily, Beth comes back to life and Zach decides to make the most of it. Just as things are getting back to normal, Beth starts acting very weird and it’s up to Zach to ensure they have a happy and safe relationship once again.

Life After Beth is written and directed by Jeff Baena and also stars John C. Reilly, Molly Shannon, Anna Kendrick, Matthew Gray Gubler, Cheryl Hines, and Alia Shawkat.

Kill Your Darlings Review
October 29, 2013

When seeing Kill Your Darlings, I already knew what to expect having read the script, but not knowing what was cut and how it played out was my curiosity. When I watched it, I realized I had for the most part seen the entire movie (youtube movie clips) except for the parts i didn’t get to see and I don’t wanna spoil it for anyone. But I really loved it. Dan and Dane’s acting was almost like watching two friends have a very good time together. It was really rather enjoying to watch that.

The scenes everyone is talking about The library scene was quite interesting to see. It played out just like the script, but Dan’s face in that moment when he sees Lucien was centralized and what I mean by that is that he was fixated on him with a stare that kind of reminded you that even though this was going on I really wish it was you. The rather funny thing in that scene was afterwards for those that watched it you know what I am talking about.

The movie did have a sort of comedic feeling to it cause some parts did make you laugh. And there was scenes that were rather cute in it too. I really enjoyed this movie and want to see it again. The gay sex scene that everyone has been talking about was not really bad. I actually found it kinda romantic, because Allen wanted Lucien so bad. He wanted to be loved even if it meant a substitute. Some strong points in the movie did make you think at times.

It made me think what if there was no Lucien, would there ever be a Ginsberg and what about the others had Lucien not brought them all together what would have become of them. It really made you think. Least for me it did.

A quote, I loved from the movie was “First Thought, Best Thought.” And the whole thing about dying so you can be reborn was a very interesting segment. Rather funny too.

I guess I should end this before I post spoilers. But if you get a chance please do see it. Radcliffe and DeHaan gave an absolutely awesome performance and I really hope sometime in the future they do something together again.

New Pictures added
October 17, 2013

I’ve been adding new pictures, news and video as well, to the gallery, media section, youtube playlist and facebook page. It’s been quite a venture dealing with media for Kill Your Darlings for both Daniel Radcliffe and Dane. But learning how to separate and upload for both has been just a bit hectic.  So it explains the slowness with posts and such. I wanna thank Sony for providing all the media for Kill Your Darlings and keeping us up to date with images, video and news on the movie. I added some new stills and promo stuff to the gallery along with Flaunt and premieres.

Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, Ben Foster, Michael C. Hall,
Jack Huston, Jennifer Jason Leigh & Elizabeth Olsen and directed by John Krokidas,
this feature film is NOW PLAYING in NY & LA and will expand to additional cities in the coming weeks!

Hamptons International Film Festival kicks off with ‘Kill Your Darlings’

Hamptons 21st International Film Festival (13)

Rising actor Dane DeHaan and director John Krokidas attended the Hamptons International Film Festival Thursday night to present their opening-night film, “Kill Your Darlings.”

The movie has made headlines for a love scene between DeHaan, who plays Beat Generation insider Lucien Carr, and Daniel Radcliffe as Allen Ginsberg.

DeHaan would rather see the movie make headlines for its depiction of restrictive social attitudes in the 1940s than for “a sex scene that happens to be with another man,” he said. “I think this movie is saying, look how far we’ve come. And there’s more work to do.”

DeHaan, currently on-screen in the concert film “Metallica: Through The Never” and soon to appear as Harry Osborn in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” is being touted by the Hamptons festival as one of its 10 Actors to Watch, along with Brie Larson, Scott Haze and David Oyelowo (“The Butler”).
